Rescue Revival Launches Rebels for Rescue Campaign to Improve Animal Health and Adoption Outcomes in Oxford

OXFORD, Miss. — Oct. 20, 2025 — Rescue Revival, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the health and wellness of rescue animals through preventive care and community partnerships, has launched Rebels for Rescue, a new campaign designed to make Oxford a leader in animal shelter innovation and care.

The campaign will fund cutting-edge UVC light technology at the Oxford Animal Resource Center, dramatically improving the shelter’s ability to prevent disease, protect vulnerable animals, and increase adoption success.

Every year, shelters face serious challenges from contagious illnesses like parvovirus and kennel cough. These diseases spread quickly, delaying adoptions, slowing transports, and sometimes costing animals their lives. That’s why Rebels for Rescue is funding UVC light technology—a proven system used in shelters and veterinary facilities to eliminate airborne and surface-level pathogens. By disinfecting air through HVAC ducts and purifying high-touch areas after cleaning, UVC systems help animals stay healthier and find homes faster. Installing this technology at the Oxford Animal Resource Center will cost over $8,000—an investment that will directly save lives and transform the shelter’s ability to care for animals.

And in true Oxford spirit, one of the town’s most famous pups is showing his support. Juice Kiffin, beloved dog of Ole Miss Head Football Coach Lane Kiffin, proudly sported his Rebels for Rescue bandana to raise awareness for the campaign—and he’ll be wearing it again during the Walk of Champions at the Ole Miss vs. Florida game on Saturday, November 15. Fans are encouraged to cheer him on and share photos to help spread the word about this lifesaving initiative.

“Rescue Revival was founded to strengthen grassroots rescue efforts and give animals a healthier start,” said Kimmi Rasky, founder of Rescue Revival. “Rebels for Rescue represents what we’re all about—equipping shelters with tools that prevent illness, improve wellness, and give every animal the best possible chance at life.”

By supporting Rebels for Rescue, donors and advocates are helping Oxford’s most vulnerable animals get a second chance at life while showing the power of the Rebel community to rally behind a cause that truly matters.
